What a difference architectural details can make! This family room and breakfast area were transformed by the addition of ceiling beams in room with a ceiling spanning 40’! New custom cabinetry ties the family room into the adjacent kitchen, seamlessly blending a formerly disjointed space. Our clients came to us after we’d completed a large remodel project across the street with a desire to blend their beautiful collection of antiques with more transitional pieces. Pulling our color palette from the custom draperies the clients were keeping we introduced bolder pattern for a fresh feel. We selected the sofa with a tight back because the dogs loved to lay along the back and our clients were over the squished cushion, then covered them with dog proof indoor/outdoor fabric. Mirror was added behind the grilles in the breakfast room’s custom wainscot to bounce light around in a room with a northern exposure that never received direct sun integrated beautifully with the client’s antiques. Traditional in a fresh, modern way. We love it when our clients live their style!
