Our client was newly widowed when she bought this condo in West Hollywood just down from the Sunset Strip close to Chateau Marmot, one of her favorite spots. She was excited about creating a new space for herself that reflected her personal style and gave her a new sense of home. We stripped years of remodels and layers of materials from the floors and walls, added a bar, and reimaged the space in a clean transitional style that was a match for her happy nature. Burled walnut was selected for the cabinetry in the living room, bar, and dining room to unify the small spaces and soften the sleek lines of the cabinetry. We visually expanded the space by opening the walls in the dining room and installing a large format marble tile throughout the main living areas to bounce light into the interior. Key pieces like the red chandelier and art in the living room were selected to spark joy and bring a light, cheerful attitude to the home.
